The Gulf Coast Humane Society will be having their annual Style Show fundraiser at the Soloman Ortiz Center! This is a big fundraiser! They need folks to volunteer to be dogs handlers at the show, help with transport to and from as well as folks to come help groom the day before! Nursing program still accredited

Kelsey Heatley/Web Editor   The Del Mar Nurse Education Program still has full accreditation with the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission and Texas Board of Nursing  (TBON), but has been placed under a “warning” status. According to Mark Escamilla the (TBON) spent a considerable time with the students and faculty in the nursing program. “That slip in pass rates for first-time examinees added a “warning” to the college’s Full Approval status with the TBON,” Escamilla said. Clery Act

Cody Bahn/Managing Editor   Del Mar College Security reported zero burglaries and robberies for the year 2009 to the U.S. Department of Education (DoE), but Security Office Incident Reports documented over 60 thefts. The reason for the discrepancy is that the thefts did not meet the criteria necessary to be reported to the DoE as required by the Jeanne Clery Act.
