Meningitis Vaccine legislation in effect at DMC

Jennifer Powell/ Staff Reporter Because of the requirements of Texas Senate Bill 1107, all new college students 29 and younger must show proof of having a meningitis at least 10 days before the first day of class. Students failing to do this may have holds placed on their records preventing them from attending classes until they are able to provide proof of receiving the vaccination to the Admissions Office.
