Corpus Christi hosted the Harlem Globetrotters on February 5, 2024, at the American Bank Center, as one of the many stops on their world tour. Fans got to experience a unique game of basketball and even got to participate alongside the Globetrotters. The Harlem Globetrotters took the court against their lifelong rivals, the hapless Washington Generals. While the Generals played their part with vigor in the in this pre-determined pageant, they were, of course, no match for the Globetrotters’ extraordinary trick shots, exceptional ball handling skills, and overall athleticism. Backyard Games expands for spring
Intramurals has begun for the 2024 spring semester. In case you missed the registration date for the 150 Mile Bike Challenge, 100 Mile Walk/Run Challenge, or 40K Swim Challenge, there are plenty of upcoming virtual and in-person events to choose from. Popular events from past semesters will make a return such as the Skate Party and Color Run. The Skate Party will be held at Sk8tland on Feb. 22. Be sure to register by Feb. 20.
