DMC health fair puts the ‘care’ in ‘scare’

The spookiness sure lingered in the second floor of the Harvin Center during the Spooktacular Health Fair, with many booths to help students stay healthy and avoid diseases. Del Mar speech professors recognize at conference

During the first weekend of October, big awards were given out to two Del Mar College speech professors at the Texas Speech Communication Association conference in Dallas. Amy Jones, professor of speech, was passed the gavel as she became president of the association. She had previously served as vice president. ‘Falling Kingdoms’ set in fascinating medieval period

With the recent success of HBO’s hit show “Game of Thrones,” the medieval period is hot again. Many authors have picked up on its popularity and set their books in the same period, including Morgan Rhodes, who wrote “Falling Kingdoms,” the first in a six-book series. While looking for a new book series to get into and after reading the summary, I realized the book resembles “Game of Thrones,” but with more of a PG-13 rating. ‘The Fourth’ is here to help the community

Many people associate “The Force” with “Star Wars,” but Del Mar College has a resource called “The Fourth” that is just as powerful.
