Academic success concern brought to regents attention

It’s the semester of cleaning up, says Del Mar officials The Board of Regents raised concern in a recent meeting after Beth Lewis, chief academic officer, discussed more topics pertaining to the audit situation that was discussed in the last meeting. “It’s a clean-up semester,” McDonald said. Bishop Michael Mulvey links human trafficking to servitude State Rep. Todd Hunter recently hosted the Human Trafficking Summit at Del Mar to bring awareness to the issue. Hunter was accompanied by many experts to give advice for someone who may find themselves affected by human trafficking. Regents introduce Master Plan

Phase one gets approved for the new Southside campus The Board of Regents unanimously voted to proceed with the South Side Campus Master Plan at its Aug. 14 meeting, giving the go-ahead for phase one of construction. The plan includes construction of the Main Building/Library, STEM (science building), Culinary Institute and Central Plant, along with a 1,200-space parking lot. The $101 million project would include about 280,000 square feet. The campus includes a community garden for the Culinary Institute, greenhouses for science programs and outdoor space for architecture programs.
