The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) unveiled buses with Selena’s image April 18. Food Truck Fridays explode with flavor and fun for all

The last Friday of every month, the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts Food Truck Fridays downtown near the American Bank Center. Foghorn file Mayor Nelda Martinez leaps into the bay as part of dunking the mayor to kick off Buc Days. Live music, a tailgate party, rodeo, carnival and a parade for the family will be the highlights of the annual Buc Days festival, which runs through May 1. Buc Days, held on the Corpus Christi bayfront, began in 1938 and is the longest running event in the city, with over 45,000 people attending each year. Press Club seeking books

The Del Mar College Press Club is hosting a book drive and encouraging everyone to donate new or gently used children’s books. Google The books will be donated to the Lichtenstein Center for Early Learning at Del Mar College. The center, at the corner of Baldwin and Staples, serves nearly 60 children.
