Festival celebrates legacy of famed performer Selena

The second annual Fiesta de la Flor, honoring the legendary Selena Quintanilla Perez, will take place May 6-7 downtown at the Bayfront Plaza, city officials announced at a news conference Feb. 2. Fiesta de la Flor is a two-day festival honoring Selena’s legacy filled vendors and live music. Orientation set for new Vikings

New student orientation is now mandatory for all first-time students. “We feel that it’s important for incoming freshmen who have not attended college before to get a full view of what to expect while they are here,” said Sara King, coordinator of Student Recruitment and Outreach. “We work with a lot with at-risk students.
