Entering a low-lit, calm conference room full of therapy dogs, however, can make those problems disappear, at least temporarily. Del Mar College’s Counseling Center held a Paws Up Pet Therapy session Oct.16 in the Harvin Center to help students dealing with stress. Culture, music and food is what’s happening this weekend in Corpus Christi, Tx. As it hosts it’s annual Dia de los Muertos festival this upcoming weekend Saturday Oct 28 in downtown Corpus Christi. New feature means fewer lines

vvasquez@foghornnews.com Del Mar College hopes to make the registration process more efficient with its new Viking Virtual Line. On Sept. 22, the Viking Go app began offering the Viking Virtual Line, which aims to make it easier for students who need to meet with someone in the registration office without having to stand in line. Students will sign in on the Viking Go app and locate the Viking Virtual Line and sign up to be put in line. Then they will be notified on their phones when they are to be next in line. Streaming services such as Amazon Prime, Spotify and Hulu have become popular among many people. But what many don’t know is most of these services offer student discounts. Music app Spotify recently began offering students the chance to purchase its services for only $4.99 a month for its Premium plan, and you can add Hulu as a free bonus.
