Students interested in court reporting had the opportunity to spend a day learning what life is like as a court reporter and as a court-reporting student. New bill to propose guns on campus

  Vivien Sanchez Co-editor-in-chief   Two new bills regarding who can carry firearms have created much controversy in Austin and left many at Del Mar College split on the proposals. The Senate State Affairs Committee held a meeting Jan. 13 in Austin to discuss passing a bill that would allow concealed handgun permit holders to carry their weapons on college campuses, and another bill allowing open carrying of firearms everywhere in Texas. Evangelist booted from free speech zone

      Cayce Berryman Reporter   Matthew Bourgault, an activist who travels the country to visit college campuses, exercised his right to free speech Feb. 24 in front of the Heldenfels Administration Building on East Campus, leading to an argument with several students. Bourgault accused all students of sinning, claiming that all sinners go to hell. “In the past, unfortunately to my shame, I have sinned, but that’s why I got saved. Sinners sin. The acronym THC may be familiar to some, but what about CBD?
