Local production looking for extras

Local independent filmmaker Taylor Rae Carmona is looking for extras and crew assistants for her second independent film production. The film is based on events that took place in Kingsville in the 1960s. The Spanish-language film spotlights Mexican-Americans in South Texas. “‘The Barrio Poet’ tells the story of two Mexican men that meet at a small bar and learn they are both fans of poetry and literature,” Carmona said. Food trucks welcome on campus

Food trucks are becoming more common in Corpus Christi, including at Del Mar College. This semester, about four different food trucks have come to campus at least once a week to cater to students and staff. The Disney College Program is a college internship that allows participants to live, learn and earn the opportunity to put a world-renowned entertainment company on their resume. Students of any major are free to apply for the chance to work for the mouse.
