Event focuses on Title IV awareness

Board certified sexologist Justine Shuey will be on campus Oct. 10 to discuss Title IX awareness. According to the Department of Education Title IX protects from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance. Students can catch Shuey from 11 a.m. to noon in the Retama Room of the Harvin Center on East Campus or from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Coleman Center on West Campus. Symposium targets synthetic marijuana

  Officers see increase in use of the deadly drug Del Mar College hosted dozens of first responders, counselors and law enforcement officials at a regional stakeholder symposium on synthetic drugs on June 10. Students fuel competitive side with volleyball

The tournament bracket was created by Kristy Urbick, intramural director. The first match of the tournament had Set it and Forget it! facing off against Thunder and defeating them with the match score, 25-9, 25-10. 5K run around campus

The 5K Fun Run that took place in front of the gym on Tuesday had few participants but high spirits. Intramural workers cheered racers on as they ran. The race involved going around the out- side edge of the campus twice in order to reach the distance of 5 kilometers. DMC’s Intramural sports hosts 5k neon run

Google Intramural sports will be hosting a 5K run on March 29 at 3:00 PM. The event is open to all students and faculty of Del Mar. In order to take part in the race, you must take 5 canned foods to Gym 104 that are at least 10 ounces or larger. When you turn these cans in, you will receive a “can ticket” that will allow you to participate in the race. The theme of the run is neon, so runners should throw on the brightest clothes they have.
