Calling all Vikings to come out and show your school spirit and your school colors. The East Campus versus the West Campus soon will meet in a faculty showdown. Spirit Day will be the kickoff to the infamous Viking Bowl on Nov. 20. The faculty will compete for the win and bragging rights in flag football. At 12:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in the Gymnasium on East Campus will be the official kickoff for Del Mar’s campaign. The campaign helps raise money for scholarships. Annual 5K run features prizes for best costumes Del Mar College will host its annual Halloween 5K run at 3 p.m. Oct. 29. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend this year’s run to enjoy lots of door prizes and free smoothies courtesy of Smoothie King. The run is being held at the East Campus gymnasium/track; everyone is encouraged wear their best costume, with prizes given for the top two. The top 15 runners will also receive a free event T-shirt.
