“Just Cause 3” is the latest installment in the popular open- world, third-person shooter series developed by Avalanche Studios. This series has come a long way since the first installment, in 2006, which was an almost overlooked Xbox exclusive. “Star Wars Battlefront” was one of the most highly anticipated games of the year before its Nov. 17 release. With “The Force Awakens” coming to theaters Dec. 18, EA and DICE, known for the “Battlefield” franchise, took a crack at a “Star Wars” game. There was a lot of pressure on this game to be good considering the last game in the series, “Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron,” was released back in 2009 before the series took a four-year hiatus.   “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” has finally arrived and many gamers flocked to get their hands on the next installment in the popular first-person shooter franchise. This time it is developer Treyarch’s turn to deliver the next entry as part of the new three-year development cycle for the series with the next game being developed by Infinity Ward, and then followed by Sledgehammer Games.
