Safe Space to march in Pride Parade

Students interested in joining must sign waiver by Oct. 7 Del Mar’s Safe Space Club is set to take part in the annual Pride Parade this weekend, and students are welcome to join. The parade takes place Oct. 8 along the bayfront to commemorate LGBTQ+ History Month. “It is an opportunity to show support for the LGBTQ+ community, pay tribute to those individuals involved in the Stonewall Riots of 1969, and those who continue to do so,” said Sofia Jimenez with the Safe Space Club. National Coming Out Day celebration planned

Del Mar College is inviting students to participate in the celebration of pride with a National Coming Out event on Oct. 15. National Coming Out Day is an annual celebration that aims to shine focus on members of the LGBTQ+ community and their decisions to reveal their gender identities and sexual orientations with the general public. The event will include food, prizes, music and a contest to choose the three best-dressed participants in pride apparel. SGA to hold first meeting of the fall semester
