Diaz withdraws name from BOR ballot
Philip J. Perez / Web Editor Tony Diaz, candidate for the Del Mar College (DMC) Board of Regents At-Large seat, has withdrawn his name from the Nov. 6 ballot citing a possible conflict of interest. Diaz submitted a written request for withdrawal on Aug. 23. “I withdrew my name in order to avoid any conflict of interest if I were to be elected to serve on both the CCISD (Corpus Christi Independent School District) Board of Trustees and the Del Mar College Board of Regents,” Diaz wrote in an email to the Foghorn.
