After being Flour Bluff High School’s NJROTC Senior Naval Science Instructor for 24 years and retiring in 2017, Armando Solis is not ready to slow down yet. DMC Stone Writing Center offered on and off campus

For almost 50 years, the Stone Writing Center has been providing one-on-one writing assistance to Del Mar College students, whether virtually or in-person. The Stone Writing Center offers more than just English course essay help. Staff also assist with resume writing, application essays and even news writing. As finals are approaching at Del Mar College, students may find themselves overwhelmed in their courses. However, the Math Learning Center is always open to assisting all students, not just math majors, free of charge. The Math Learning Center offers a wide variety of resources to students including handouts, TSI preparation, textbooks, calculators, computers, printers, Wi-Fi, and so much more. Art exhibit honors border culture

Del Mar College’s Art and Drama Department held an opening event for the “Now Let Us Shift” art exhibition. The Sept. 29 event featured both a panel discussion, which was held in the Bartlett Theatre, and an opening reception, which was held in the Joseph A. Cain Memorial Art Gallery. “Now Let Us Shift” is a powerful celebration of life, culture and spirituality. Auto repairs that won’t break the bank

If you’re looking for basic car maintenance on a budget, Del Mar College’s Automotive Department offers a low-cost alternative. When cars are brought in, automotive students can use their lab time to assist in car maintenance and build their skills under supervision of their instructors. Car maintenance services can be provided to Del Mar College students, faculty and staff. Rage room offers more than just chance to break stuff

A new entertainment service in Corpus Christi offers residents, including frustrated college students, a chance to unleash their anger. Act Your Rage, Corpus Christi’s newest rage room, opened on Aug. 18, just in time for the fall semester. Students could be experiencing a variety of issues such as pent-up anger, relationship issues, or major life changes. Rage rooms give students a chance to safely channel their anger out on objects. As the fall semester begins, students could potentially be experiencing major stressors. Whether it be major life changes or relationship issues, Del Mar College’s Counseling Center is always here to help.
