The film is directed by Olivier Megaton, and written by the writers of the first movie – Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. The first movie was a fan favorite and propelled Liam Neeson to action star status.

Jonathan Garcia / Staff writer “Looper” is an action, sci-fi thriller that stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, and Jeff Daniels. The movie is written and directed by Rian Johnson, and has been getting great reviews from critics. It currently holds a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and has been named one of the best films of the year. Unfortunately, it is to be brought to everyone’s attention that this movie, although boasting a fresh storyline and great acting, does not live up to the hype.

Performances for “Dralion” (pronounced draw-lee-on) will begin on March 9 at the American Bank Center and run through March 11, for a total of five shows. Dralion blends traditional Chinese acrobatics with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil to tell the story of Man and Nature and their battle to achieve harmony. Brittni Young/Web Editor On January 28 at the House of Rock, Corpus Christi’s The After Dark Revue showcased their latest burlesque performance, “The Other Side of Wonderland.” The show included various solos of the burlesque performers dressed as characters from the classic fairy tale “Alice In Wonderland”. For those unfamiliar with burlesque, burlesque dancing is a comedic and theatrical performance performed by women in minimal clothing. The After Dark Revue has kept the original concept of a burlesque performance, but has also added their own take of the classical strip tease with a variety of solos, acts, and musical performances.…
Devin Tyler/Staff Reporter DMC student Brittany Fowler can often be spotted on West Campus in a tank top on the way to her EMT class, but off campus she’s trading her tank top for football pads and a helmet. Fowler is attending Del Mar to earn her Paramedic Certification, just recently completed the Firefighter Academy and in May, Fowler joined the first Corpus Christi women’s full-contact football team, CC Mermaids. “I love sports, I’ve been involved with sports all my life,” Fowler said.
