Join DMC Culinary for Thursday lunch

The Culinary Arts Program Offers Gourmet Lunch Services to the Public at Del Mar College’s Oso Creek Campus.  Del Mar College’s Oso Creek Campus is offering a weekly lunch service to the public, prepared by students in the Culinary Arts Program.  The service takes place every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on the first floor of the Hospitality and Culinary Institute at the Oso Creek Campus.  According to Jennifer Sramek, Dean of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Health Sciences, “Meals are available to the first 100 guests on a limited basis, with a maximum of two to-go meals per person.” …

Mia Estrada mestrada@foghornnews.com Collegiate High School’s second annual Culture Fest showcased cultures not just from students’ native countries, but also LGBTQ+ and drag culture. Jeva Adame, a Collegiate High School senior, explored through the countries and recognized each one. “It’s good to be exposed to other cultures, and I recognize the effort our school is making by having this annual tradition,” Adame said. “The festival brings light to all cultures and is a good place to educate one another.” The festival was put on by Model United Nations and Culture Club.
