CC colleges team up to honor MLK
Colby Farr cfarr@foghornnews.com Del Mar College and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi are teaming up to present the fifth annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration. The event’s theme is “Bridging the Gaps” and will feature educator Cherry Ross Gooden as the speaker. Gooden will speak on the importance of education at the event and about the impact that it has on society as a whole. Gooden served Texas Southern University for 36 years as an associate professor and chairperson for the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
