Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, is when we recognize the contributions made by Hispanic and Latino Americans, as well as their important presence in the United States. This is also the time of year that we celebrate their heritage and culture. Sept. 15 is the anniversary of the independence of five Latin American countries. Gym lights shined bright on the championship game where team Most Hated took down team Lakers 69 to 46. In the first half Most Hated dominated the Lakers 36 to 19, but after halftime the Lakers proved they were not going to go down without a fight, scoring 17 more points. Unfortunately for the Lakers they still came up short to the 33 points scored by Most Hated in the second half.
