Nearly a dozen students took to the field at the track on East Campus on Nov. 28-30 for five-on-five soccer.
No formal tournament occured, but that didn’t stop the competitors from giving it their all. Intramurals will return in the spring with a whole new lineup of events.
On Oct. 1 at approximately 1:09 p.m., students received text alerts, emails and phone calls regarding a threat that was made against a female student and the East Campus. As the alert didn’t seem too urgent, campus activities and classes were to continue as scheduled. Del Mar’s Industrial Process Technology Association (IPTA) joined up with a few other groups to clean up the beach out at Padre Balli Park. The Oct. 6 beach cleanup, which was originally scheduled for two weeks prior but was postponed due to rain, was hosted by LyondellBasell Adopt-A-Beach. Adopt-A-Beach recruits groups, such as Del Mar’s IPTA, the Kiwanis and local high school clubs, as well as individual volunteers to help clean up the beaches not only to protect sea life, but also to help beautify the Texas coast. “The IPTA believe in helping your community out and service projects,” club…
Service included in fees; routes likely to change By Kelsey Heatley / Managing Editor Del Mar College students with a valid college ID can ride any Regional Transportation Authority bus without paying a fare because students pay for the service as part of their registration fees.
