The London High School powerlifting team is a group of lifters who compete in regional and state weightlifting competitions each year.
Led by Coach Tony Ramon, the competition consists of three major lifts. These lifts are squat, bench and deadlift. For each lift, there is certain equipment each powerlifter is allotted use of to help increase their numbers. The name of this type of powerlifting is called equipped powerlifting, and involves bench shirts, squat suits, wrist wraps, knee wraps and belts. While this equipment is generally designed to assist lifts, they are not designed to assist the lifter and can be quite painful to get on and off.
