Deadine approaching for Del Mar’s 60th Annual CAIN National Show

Del Mar is preparing to celebrate a major milestone as it hosts the 60th Annual CAIN National Show, continuing a long tradition of showcasing innovative contemporary artwork from across the United States that is judged by a special guest juror. This year’s show will be judged by Tabitha Whitley, an accomplished artist known for her vibrant art and work with art organizations nationwide. The CAIN National Show will award $10,000 to artists who are handpicked by Whitley. The selected winners will have their art become a part of Del Mar’s permanent collection. George Salazar’s NASA Seminar

Del Mar College invites the public to an inspiring morning seminar with Corpus Christi native and retired NASA engineer George Salazar on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in the Tres Grace Community Room at the Oso Creek Campus. With a career spanning over 40 years at NASA, Salazar worked on groundbreaking projects such as the Space Shuttle, International Space Station, and Artemis Human Lander programs. Speech Communication Center on Heritage Campus helps students fine-tune speaking skills

“Nerves are normal,” but students can feel empowered for their upcoming speech by dropping by Del Mar’s Heritage Campus Speech Communication Center. The Speech Communications Center offers a variety of services to guide students with not only their public speaking skills, but also their presentation and writing skills. Speech Communications Director Ondrea Tarske said the SCC offers technological amenities, instructional support, and private conference rooms that are available for all Del Mar students to use, regardless of their major. With a new semester starting, the SCC also now offers online workshops to students who are interested in receiving helpful tips.…
