Two recent security incidents have heightened fears and brought some criticism to Del Mar College about the way information is released to students and staff in an emergency. According to the campus crime report, at about 7:45 a.m. Oct. 1, a female student told college officials she had been receiving threatening text messages from a disgruntled ex-boyfriend.
