Students and colleagues recognize Hatherill for merits Del Mar College has nominated John Robert Hatherill, Ph.D. and professor of biology in the Natural Sciences Department, as the college’s 2017 Piper Professor nominee for consideration of an award from the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation. The Piper Professor Award recognizes professors for outstanding academic, scientific and scholarly achievement and for dedication to the teaching profession. Students receive advice from TAMU-CC on Transfer Day

Del Mar College joins with TAMU-CC today with Transfer Day. As election day rolls around the corner, it is important to make sure that you are registered to vote before the deadline. Today marks National Voter Registration Day. This single day of coordinated field, technology and media efforts will create pervasive awareness of voter registration opportunities–allowing to reach tens of thousands of voters who are unable to reach their local county clerk office. Students registering for fall 2016 encountered both, but the wait times were not as long as in previous years thanks to several steps the college has taken to ease the registration process.
