Intramurals ends with a kick

Intramurals said farewell to their semester of sports with an old fashioned game of kickball.

Students who signed up to participate were separated into two teams, Team USA and Team Ball Busters. The basic rules of kickball applied with the game going to 12 innings, until Ball Busters took the win for the final event of the semester.

Kristy Urbick, intramural director, was happy with how this event and others have turned out this semester.

“It went really well” Urbick said. “We had good totals for all of our events and we had a lot of new people this semester. So hopefully next semester they’ll come back and then bring some of their friends.”

Urbick also discussed the intramurals the program has planned for next semester.

“We’re gonna have a lot of the same leagues’ and we’re gonna have a soccer league this time” Urkick said. “Also bringing back dodgeball and adding a home run derby. So we’re really trying to do those one day activities where students can come and have fun, and anyone can play.”
