Meet the student – Man of many talents

Born in Corpus Christi on Aug. 26, 1999, Christopher Garcia always loved the idea of working with a team to accomplish a goal.

Throughout his youth, it was the passion he had to be a professional soccer player that motivated him to be the best version of himself. However, as time ticked on, he found new passions and excitements, such as building computers, to keep him focused and honed in on his studies.

Garcia, a business administration and management major, plans to graduate with an associate degree from Del Mar in summer 2022 before continuing his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

“I feel like the best job you can get without a degree is a server, and there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just not for me,” Garcia said.

Besides receiving a black belt with the Chin Mu Kwan Taekwondo Federation in fourth grade, one of his other many talents is making people laugh.

Advice you’d give yourself five years ago: “Don’t give up.”

Ten-year goal: “Be an owner of a storage facility.”

Quotation you live by: “‘It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”- Mark Twain’”

Favorite thing about yourself: “I’m funny”

Curious about the storage facility business plan? Ask Christopher all about it when you see him on campus.

  1. I like the idea of highlighting a student for their exemplary achievements/goals. People can read this person’s information and maybe approach him about this.
