Del Mar students have a chance to participate in a mental health survey to help further research and strengthen programs to help student mental health.
The Healthy Mind Study is the largest survey of college student mental health in the United States. Once completed, the survey will allow Del Mar College to compare student data from more than 450 campuses nationwide.
The survey is being offered as part of the school’s JED Campus Program. The survey launched on March 30 and closes April 30.
The JED Campus is a four-year partnership between The Jed Foundation and Del Mar College. Through this collaboration, a team of faculty, staff and students work together to access and strengthen campus systems related to mental health, substance abuse, and suicide prevention. The success of the program requires a collective effort from Del Mar campuses.
The Jed Foundation’s mission is to protect emotional health and prevent suicide in teens and young adults, giving them the skills and support needed to thrive. The foundation’s work centers on equipping individuals, strengthening schools, and mobilizing communities.
Students will receive an email to their WebDMC email address, and QR codes will be available on campus monitors, digital displays and signage.
