According to the partnership of public service in 2024, only 15% of people ages 18-34 said they trusted the federal government. According to Pew research, trust in the government has not reached more than 30% since 2007. After Trump’s State of the Union address its clear Trump has no plans to tackle economic insecurity and cost of living, debt and financial pressure, mental health, climate change and systemic inequality issues. Editorial: Schools are in the right when protecting their protesting students

On Jan. 30, students all over the country took part in walkouts in protest over the increased power and encroachment over individual rights by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In even the red heart of Texas, there were protests held to defy the chaos committed against people whose skin is brown, who spoke Spanish, or voted blue.  There was a protest in solidarity in our very city of Corpus Christi.
