Volunteers sought to prevent dropouts
Volunteers are being sought to help encourage local youths to return to school. Operation KEYS, or Keeping Every Youth in School, is a walk held in the community that targets students who have not enrolled in the new school year. The walk is held every fall and is a partnership between the Corpus Christi Independent School District and the Diocese of Corpus Christi. In the nine years that Operation KEYS has been in action the graduation rate in CCISD has increased from 74.8 percent in 2007 to 83.6 percent in 2015.
