Speech tournament needs judges
Event coordinators for the ninth annual Speech on the Beach tournament are seeking judges for the event. The event is a collegiate speech and debate tournament that is an opportunity to help students qualify for national competition. Debate is set for the first day, with speech on the remaining two days. Having the event on campus makes a big difference, said Mendy Muerer, instructor of speech. “Our students get to work on their qualifications without having to travel,” Muerer said.
