DMC hosts language fair on campus

Del Mar College’s Spanish program presented a World Languages Tour that gave students the opportunity to talk with native speakers of several countries. Participants at the April 11 event started by learning how to pronounce words and short sentences in Korean, French, Japanese, Spanish and many other languages. There were multiple booths set up with lists of common words and phrases and other items that were significant to the country that they were speaking about. Pell Grants extended

The funds were not previously available for summer classes After six years, Pell Grants are once again available for summer classes. Year round Pell Grants have not been available since 2012 for summer if students were full-time during both fall and spring. Students who were full-time and receiving Pell Grants during the regular school year would have to pay out of pocket if they wanted to continue their education in the summer.
