The popular book series-turned movie phenomenon “The Hunger Games” dominated the show with a total of five awards including Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Face of Heroism for female lead Jennifer Lawrence and Favorite Movie Franchise.

The film is directed by Olivier Megaton, and written by the writers of the first movie – Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. The first movie was a fan favorite and propelled Liam Neeson to action star status.

Jonathan Garcia / Staff writer “Looper” is an action, sci-fi thriller that stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, and Jeff Daniels. The movie is written and directed by Rian Johnson, and has been getting great reviews from critics. It currently holds a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and has been named one of the best films of the year. Unfortunately, it is to be brought to everyone’s attention that this movie, although boasting a fresh storyline and great acting, does not live up to the hype.
