April 10-16 marks the Week of the Young Child. Each year, schools across the country celebrate children and bring awareness to their needs by organizing special activities and events recognizing children, their families and the teachers in their lives. DMC Center for Early Learning had children learn to be creative in art, food and music. On April 15, children sang “One Love” while playing hand made musical instruments to their families before enjoying a family picnic in the classroom. In honor of Week of the Young Child, the DMC Press Club donated a box of new and gently used books to the children at the Center for Early Learning.
