Del Mar College’s Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education hosted their Community Luncheon on Oct. 9.

“This organization is for students, faculty and staff just to come together and show that there is no barrier and we all want to just have a good time” said TACHE President Christopher Hernandez. “You shouldn’t feel obligated to join but just know we are here to provide for the students at DMC.”

TACHE is a statewide professional organization committed to the improvement of educational and employment opportunities for Hispanics in higher education. TACHE Del Mar members work hard, think boldly, behave in civilized ways, value justice, insist on fairness, eat with gusto — and laugh a lot, according their page on the DMC website.

To find out how to become a member contact TACHE Secretary Rosa Linda Reynoso at 361-698-1247 or rreynoso@delmar.edu.
