The South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center invites the community to its annual Holly Days celebration.
This festive event, which began in 2018, promises a joyous experience for the whole family. It is held every Friday and Saturday during the holiday season, starting Friday, Nov. 29, running through Saturday, Dec. 21.
The event is open Fridays from 6-7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 2-7:30 p.m. MaryJane Crull, the center’s Communications Director, described the event as the perfect celebration for visiting relatives or college friends home for Christmas.
People can expect to enjoy a variety of seasonal attractions designed to capture the holiday spirit. The event features Christmas lights adorning the trees, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the gardens.
Visitors will also find holiday-themed stations for photo opportunities and a hay maze for families to explore. Additional activities include hayrides, and a designated areas for roasting s’mores and enjoying warm cocoa.
Guests will have the chance to take photos with Santa Claus or interact with some of the center’s animals, offering memorable experiences for participants of all ages.
