Construction of KEDT building nearly done

Students may have noticed the construction of the KEDT building beside Del Mar College’s Center for Economic Development on Staples at Kostoryz for the past several months. As the year comes to a close, the building will rise, and its purpose has more in store for students in the coming spring semester. Since the groundbreaking of the KEDT broadcasting station on Oct. 15, 2014, construction has kept its promise of a late-fall 2015 completion date. TRIO program set to end

TRIO, a nationwide program that has been at Del Mar College since 2001, will end at the college on Aug 31. In its time at Del Mar, the TRIO program helped first-generation students, as well as students with low-income, disabilities or veteran students. Services offered by TRIO included financial assistance, college course help, tutoring and more for a limited 160 students per year.
