DMC will host an opening reception for its newest art exhibit, “Selections from the Permanent Collection,” on Fri, Sept. 5, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cain Gallery on the Heritage campus. Center for Career Development provides crafts for vision boards

Vikings had the opportunity to create their own career vision board on Feb 8 in the Harvin Center on Heritage Campus. The event was hosted by Center for Career Development, who provided all the craft materials as well as snacks, coffee, and music. Vision boards are a popular way of putting your dreams on paper. DMC art department to host 58th annual drawing and sculpture event

DMC’s Art Department is coming up on its 58th Annual National Drawing and Small Sculpture, an event Joe Cain, art professor at Del Mar, created back in 1966. The entries were not limited to Del Mar college students. Submissions were open to all U.S. artists, with a record 792 artworks submitted for consideration, including 25 sculptures and 28 two-dimensional works. Accepted submissions included work that has been created within the past three years. Artists were allowed to submit a maximum of three pieces. Heritage and heart inspire art

‘My Casa is Your Casa’ features work from students Located in the center of the Cain Art Gallery you will come upon a sculpture of two busts. One is looking up and one is looking down. Each bust is overlaid with an antique print with a solemn expression.
