The Del Mar Dance Ensemble will be performing in a presentation entitled “Behind the Movement” on November 18th, and 19th at 7:30p.m. in Richardson Performance Hall.
Shawnee Jones-Bonnette, associate professor of Kinesiology says that people can expect “An evening of dance in the styles of hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and modern dance.” Jones Bonnette also says what makes this performance unique is that “This semester, each piece will be introduced by the choreographer giving the audience some insight into the creative process for each dance.”
This semester the Dance Ensemble has a guest choreographer, Shayna White, a contemporary dancer from Houston who has helped with this performance.
The DMC Dance Ensemble comprised of 20 students has been rehearsing for this performance since the second week of school.
Tickets are $10 general admission, and $5 for seniors and students with a valid id. For more information about this performance or the DMC Dance Ensemble, contact Shawnee Jones-Bonnette at 698-1339 or sbonnet@delmar.edu.
