What are your thoughts on voting rights and not being able to use only your student ID if you show up to vote?

“First of all I don’t think it’s fair to not use our student ID. They say we need a picture and some proof of something that this is you and it’s the same thing with a student ID. What’s the difference between a student ID and a gun permit ID? I don’t think it’s fair for us to have to go home or be forced to get another form of ID, if we show up to vote, and the only ID we have is our student ID. What’s wrong with my student ID? It has my picture, it has my name, I’m not lying to them; what more do they want? I just think we should have the right to use our student ID.”
