West Campus held a grand opening on Feb. 29 at the newly renovated Student Hub at the Coleman Center. The project had been in the works for about two years.
“It was about two years ago, we did the strategic plan for the next five years, and some of the outcome out of that was that students at the West Campus feel that they did not have a space where that they could come and study, hang out and do,” said Beverly Cage, director of Student Leadership and Campus Life. “So that was the birth of ‘let’s find a space, let’s find something to make it work.’”

There are about 10 laptops provided for students to use in the hub, courtesy of Title V Director Victor Davila.
The hub will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday. For more information on the hub, call 361-698-2690.
