Fall Festival focuses on food, fun, family

Costume contest winners to get $50

Del Mar wants to help you get into the Halloween spirit at the annual Fall Festival on Oct 25.

There will be food, fun, games and many family friendly activities.

“The costume contest will be by age,” said Sonia Carreon, an administrative assistant with Student Leadership and Campus Life. “The winner of each will get a $50 prize.”

The age groups will be 0-10, 11-17 and 18-plus.

Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. Tickets will cost 50 cents each and will be needed for booth games.

There will be variety of games and activities such as bean bag toss, dinosaur dig, a welding simulator and more.

“Some of the food served will be Frito pie, fajita tacos and brisket sliders,” Carreon said. “The prices will vary.”

The festival will be from 5-10 p.m. in the Harvin Center.

Clubs are encouraged to participate in the festival. For information on getting a booth, contact Carreon at scarreon3@delmar.edu.
