The Del Mar College Student Government Association will host this year’s TJCSGA Regional Fall Conference.
This conference, Nov. 7-8 in the White Library, will focus on leadership, including transforming mindsets, building confidence and developing better leaders from the inside out through leadership experiences.
“The Texas Junior College Student Government Association is the only student-maintained organization in the state that works to promote the cause of community college students at the local, regional, state and national level,” said Beverly Cage, director of Student Leadership and Campus Life who serves as adviser to the SGA.
Stanley Pearson II, an award-winning motivational comedian, speaker and youth mindset expert, will emcee the conference and serve as guest speaker. The student government associations from Victoria College, San Antonio College, St. Phillips College and Laredo will join Del Mar at the conference.
“TJCSGA comes together as a group to advocate for what you want to see on your school campus,” Cage said.
