County offers tips for Halloween safety

With upcoming festivities for Halloween, the Nueces County Public Health District wants the community to continue to practice social distancing precautions.

While the district recommends decreasing the risk of exposure by staying at home and enjoying activities with family and friends it also shared the following tips for those who are planning a night out.

The district suggests wearing a mask, and not just a Halloween mask, to help protect those who are not able to receive the vaccine. Remember to continue social distancing as well as avoid crowded gatherings. Continue sanitizing your hands, especially between trick or treating. If you attend a gathering that is located indoors, make sure the area is well-ventilated and do continue to practice good handwashing.

When it comes to hosting or attending any Halloween festivities everyone should remember to follow safety guidelines and practice the three Ws: Wear your mask, Watch your distance, and Wash your hands.
