William McKinney draws ceramic inspiration from man’s manipulation of its environment. McKinney spoke at an artist talk held in Del Mar College’s Richardson Performance Hall on Thursday, Oct. 2. Growing up in West Virginia, McKinney was surrounded by elements that would later inspire his creative process in the future. His home state is known for its clay and he spent his childhood navigating the woods, finding rocks that had been impacted by the glass industry. Event helps students reduce stress as semester nears end With final exams coming up, the Counseling Center found a way to alleviate some of the stress in the lives of DMC students. The Go Team Therapy dogs of Corpus Christi provided qualified therapy dogs free of charge for students and staff at Heritage Campus on April 20, as well as the previous day at Windward Campus. With all the rain the Coastal Bend has received lately, there has been an increase in the mosquito population. The city of Corpus Christi has been making an effort to protect residents by enlisting Vector Control to spray for mosquitoes.
