Introducing USL soccer club to the Coastal Bend

Currently sitting at number nine in the USL League One Rankings, Corpus Christi FC is well on its way to completing its first season as a professional team. CCFC leads the league in clean sheets and holds their own in other categories. They have players from five different continents, bringing in representation from all over the globe.

Defenders

Blake Bowen: At 25 years old, Bowen is playing his fourth year professionally. Born in San Clemente, California, Bowen attended San Diego State University, was drafted by the MLS team Seattle Sounders, and played for MLS NEXT PRO under Tacoma Defiance. He spent the 2025 season as Huntsville City FC’s captain. As a defender with the Sharks, Bowen is tied for eighth in the league in goals at seven goals, tied for sixth in assists with six, tied for 14th in shots on goal with 34, tied for third in chances created and third in the league in crosses at 146. 

Sam Roscoe: Roscoe, 28 years old and born in Manchester, England, began his professional career in Scotland, playing for Aberdeen FC. After a brief stint at Ayr United, Roscoe spent five years off-and-on with Linfield FC before signing with CCFC in February 2026. 

Jack Keaney: Keaney hails from Donegal, Ireland and is 27 years old. He made his professional debut on the first team in the League of Ireland Premier Division. From 2019-2023, Keaney played four seasons at University College Dublin A.F.C. before joining Drogheda F.C. in 2024, where he helped the team win the FAI Cup. In 2025, he played for Cliftonville FC, won the Northern Ireland Football League Cup (BetMcLean Cup) and signed with CCFC in 2026.

Shannon Gomez: Gomez, 29, was born in Chaguanas, Trinidad & Tobago. He signed his first pro contract at 18 in his home country and went on to sign with New York City FC. He then played three seasons for Saramento Republic FC. In 2022, he signed with San Antonio FC, won a title and went on to play three more seasons there. He signed to CCFC in 2026.

James Parks: Parks was born in Fort Collins, Colorado and is 19 years old. In 2024, he joined Northern Colorado’s U20 team and then played with Colorado Switchbacks 2. He made his professional debut in July with the Sharks, scoring an assist in the game against One Knoxville FC in the first two minutes of his debut.

Pierce Infuso: Infuso, 24 years old, was born in Merrick, New York. He was a five-year starter for Hofstra University. After graduation, he played a season with New York City Fc II in MLS NEXT Pro before signing with CCFC for the 2026 season.

Tomas Ritondale: Ritondale was born in Cordoba, Argentina. His first pro contract was with Rio Grande Valley FC Toros in 2022, played for Huntsville City FC for the 2024 season, and then signed with FC Naples halfway through the 2025 season to assist in their playoff run. He signed to the Sharks in 2026 at 24 years old.

Midfielders

Paddy Langois: Born in San Diego and raised in Newcastle, Australia, Langois is CCFC’s captain. He debuted at 19, playing for the Newcastle Jets. He also played for Hume City FC and South Melbourne FC. In 2024, he signed with Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC and won the USL Jägermeister Cup Championship. He played the 2025 season with Portland Hearts of Pine and scored the club’s first USL League One goal. He then signed with the Sharks in 2026 as the first professional contract signed for the team.

Arthur “Bubu” Medina: Medina is playing his first professional contract at 23 years old. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and played for Sin City FC in NISA. He’s 22nd in the league in goals with 5 goals.

Andrew Booth: Andrew Booth was born in Tamarac, Florida, and is in his sixth year of professional soccer. He previously played with Spokane Velocity FC.

Jackson Dietrich: Dietrich was born in Bremen, Germany and attended Wright State University. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, as a kid and was named Gatorade Player of the Year for Boys Soccer in Nevada. His first professional contract was with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC in 2020, and then he played with Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC for three seasons, captaining the team. He played in 2025 with Forward Madison FC.

Kyle Barganski: Barganski is 18 years old and currently playing his first professional season. He previously played for San Antonio FC Academy and for CCFC when it was in League Two for a couple of summers. He was born here in Corpus Christi and attended Flour Bluff ISD.

Kaihim Thomas: Thomas was born in Trinidad & Tobago and is 23 years old. He signed his first pro contract with La Horquetta Rangers in his home country. He then signed with Defense Force FC and played there for two years, assisting in bringing home two First Citizens Knockout Cups. He then signed with CCFC in 2026.

Enock Kwakwa: Kwakwa was born in Accra, Ghana, and is playing his 14th professional year. He joined Manchester City Academy in 2012 and signed with Falkenbergs FF in Sweden in 2015. He went on to play eight seasons in Sweden and then he played for Northern Colorado Hailstorm. In 2025, he played for Skövde AIK.

Alexis Cerritos: Born in Bowie, Maryland, Cerritos is in his sixth professional year. He made his professional debut with Loudon United in 2019 and made stops at other teams and with teams in Mexico and Portugal. He made national team appearances with El Salvador and at one point was the second-youngest player to take the national team field.

Forwards

Ignacio “Nacho” Abeal: Abeal is currently playing his first professional season. He was born in A Coruña, Spain, and moved to the United States very young. He attended Jefferson College and then transferred to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and played there for two seasons. In his final year, he attended UNC and led the team in goals, assists, points and shots on goal. He played for the Sharks when they were in League Two for two summers. He’s tied for fourth in assists in the league with 6 assists.

Tomas Pondeca: Pondeca was born in Tucson, Arizona and raised in Flower Mound, Texas. Pondeca played a long career as a national team player in futsal, a five-on-five, fast-paced indoor version of soccer. In 2023, he played an MLS NEXT Pro open tryout and signed with North Texas SC. He played with FC Dallas and then played for New Mexico United. 

Jake Keegan: Keegan, 35, hails from Stormville, New York, and is playing his 14th professional soccer season. He attended Binghamton University and was drafted into the MLS, becoming the first Binghamton student to do so. In 2019, he joined Greenville Triumph FC as his first professional US team. Keegan became the first player to score for five different USL League One teams in the regular season. Before playing in the United States, Keegan played soccer in Europe for many years in countries like Ireland and Germany. He’s ranked 30th in the league in goals with five and 32nd in the league in shots on goal with 25.

Christian Chaney: At 31, Chaney is playing his 11th professional soccer season. Born in Fresno, California, he attended Fresno City College. Chaney ranks second in all-time regular season goals with 38 and was the first player to record ten or more goals a season for three different clubs and has spent a season playing in Malta.

Manzi Shalita: Shalita, 23, is playing his second professional year here in Corpus Christi. His first year was with Ponce FC in Puerto Rico. He was born in Centreville, Virginia and attended the University of Lynchburg as a five year starter, earning All American honors.

Goalkeepers

James Talbot: Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, James Talbot is leading the league in clean sheets with 7 this season. He trained in England and then played six seasons for Bohemians FC in his home country. Talbot is also ranked fifth in the league in saves with 70. 

Mason McCready: Mason McCready is 22 years old and playing his fifth year of professional soccer. While he was born in Providence, Rhode Island, he grew up in Glasgow, Scotland, and moved to the United States last year to play for Texoma FC. While subbing in for Talbot earlier this year, he played a clean sheet.
