  Victoria Trevino Reporter   Del Mar College’s recent change to the core curriculum for degree plans, which took effect in fall 2014, has resulted in several changes in the Art Department. Students who are on the older degree plan are still able to keep their visual or performing arts course if they haven’t switched over to the new degree plan. Converting to the new degree plan ultimately means they will have to start with the new core. Del Mar College Choirs accompanied by the music department will perform a “Celebration of Rosephany Powell” Nov. 6 and 13. The Nov. 6 performance begins at 7 p.m. in Wolfe Recital Hall on the DMC Heritage Campus while the Nov. 13 concert begins at 7 p.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 5300 S. Alameda St. Both performances are free and open to the public.
