Gonzalez /Reporter After a successful turnout for the flag football tournament, intramurals director Ryan Murphy thought it would be a good idea to finish the spring semester off with a three-week 5-on-5 basketball league. Just like the past few tournaments, this was a success. The league started April 7 with seven teams having at least eight to nine players and everyone came to play. Dodgeball, basketball, indoor soccer and more to return While many events will remain virtual this semester, DMC’s Intramural Program is bringing back some of its more popular games for students to play in person. Students can look forward to dodgeball, basketball, indoor soccer, capture the flag and more this spring. The department also held a yoga event on Jan. 21, which will continue both virtually and in-person. Jeva Adame, a Collegiate High School senior, explored through the countries and recognized each one. “It’s good to be exposed to other cultures, and I recognize the effort our school is making by having this annual tradition,” Adame said. “The festival brings light to all cultures and is a good place to educate one another.” The festival was put on by Model United Nations and Culture Club.
