The strong turnout for the baseball-like sport surprised Intramural Director Kristy Urbick as this was a new activity added this semester. “I was very proud of the participation in intramurals this semester. Compared to last spring our attendance skyrocketed and I can’t wait to see new faces during the fall. I have a better knowledge of what sports are popular and I’m going to add volleyball and a couple other fun one-day sports to try and increase participation,” Urbick said. Calling all Vikings to come out and show your school spirit and your school colors. The East Campus versus the West Campus soon will meet in a faculty showdown. Spirit Day will be the kickoff to the infamous Viking Bowl on Nov. 20. The faculty will compete for the win and bragging rights in flag football. At 12:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in the Gymnasium on East Campus will be the official kickoff for Del Mar’s campaign. The campaign helps raise money for scholarships. American Bank Center’s 100,000th tickets, meets wrestlers By Kaliegh Benck / Editor-in-chief With its 10-year anniversary just around the corner, SMG-managed American Bank Center knew it had to do something big to celebrate. Since 2004, WWE events have continued to draw large crowds of loyal fans. On Tuesday, July 29, the American Bank Center chose the 100,000th to walk through the doors to win a special prize package.
