College comes with more than just classes, assignments and exams every semester. For students trying to balance school with work, finances, and everyday life, Del Mar College offers different resources that can help both inside and outside the classroom.
From free tutoring to mental health and even counseling services, students have access to resources across Del Mar College designed to address academic and personal needs that may help ease the stress on students during times of need.
The Student Success Center offers academic support including services like subject tutoring, TSI tutoring and success coaching. Students also have access to free 24-hour online tutoring.
Students who need technology for their coursework can also find resources through the Technology Resource Center, which offers laptops and calculators for check out. Current students have free access to Microsoft Office, and technology assistance is available through the Viking Help Desk.
Del Mar also maintains specialized academic resources including the Math Learning Center, Stone Writing Center, Speech Communication Center, Reading Lab and other tutoring and learning centers.
Academic help is not the only assistance available to students. Del Mar has resources for students dealing with financial emergencies, food insecurity, career preparation and other challenges that can make completing college more difficult.
Whether a student needs help passing a class, finding food, preparing for an interview or getting through an unexpected financial emergency, there may already be a resource available through the college.
