While this is extra security, it might take some getting use to. Viking Key is a new feature Del Mar introduced this past summer. The college implemented the password change management system to better protect students’ and staff’s data. Students, faculty and staff must reset their passwords every 120 days or they will be locked out from their WebDMC and Canvas accounts. wmaxwell@foghornnews.com After having her classes dropped because of a server crash during spring 2017 registration, biology major Victoria Rios was in a state of distress. “I felt extremely stressed out, very scared, and I started worrying about my future,” Rios said. Fortunately for Rios and other students, Del Mar College has been making improvements to the registration process that should result in fewer lines, mishaps and headaches.
